Having shown flashes of brilliance a season ago, Chase Roberts enters our list as the No. 17 player on BYU’s 2023 football team. The 6-foot-4, 210 pound sophomore broke through with eight receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown during the Cougar’s 26-20 win over Baylor a year ago before being limited due to injury for much of the rest of the season. This year he hopes to receive a clean bill of health in vying for top targets among BYU’s receivers.

“Chase is one of those players who encapsulated everything you want him to be on and off the field,” said Ben Criddle, host of Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle on ESPN960. “He’s long, smooth and extremely efficient in his route-running. I expect him this year to be even more physically imposing in combination with his other attributes, which would allow him to high-point the football even more effectively.”
