Isaiah Bagnah is in his first year at BYU, but is expected to take on a big role in providing an improved pass rush from the edge among other roles within Jay Hill’s new defensive system. The 6-foot-4, 235 pound transfer from Boise State comes to BYU with good playing experience where he was coached by Kelly Poppinga.
“I don’t know if anyone fully knows the real potential of Isaiah yet, maybe just Kelly Poppinga,” said Ben Criddle, host of Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle on ESPN960. “The expectations for him, as a transfer, are high due his superior ability to get off blocks in a variety of ways. How he moves laterally while engaging blocks is a big strength of his.”
