JACKSON CRAVENS: DL, 6-foot-2, 305 pound Sr.

Jackson Cravens is a graduate transfer from Boise State where he played in 26 games for the Broncos while compiling 69 tackles and three sacks. Cravens originally signed with Utah after prepping at Timpview High School before opting to transfer to Boise following the 2018 season. Cravens claimed a bevy of offers out of High School, including top programs such as Oregon, Michigan State, Georgia and Washington, among others, according the 24/7 Sports Network.

Outlook for the 2023 football season: Cravens adds much-needed depth and talent to a BYU defensive front that has struggled in recent years. The Cougar defense’s inability to stop the run has become a major liability in recent years and the addition of this former 3-star prospect should help considerably to bulk up the interior line, perhaps considerably.

“He’s a proven and productive P-5 (conference) talent,” said Ben Criddle, who hosts Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle on ESPN960. “He’s coming in to immediately make an impact and he’ll likely see significant playing time. I also believe he’ll be disruptive against quality opponents playing at a position of great need.”
