The Utah Jazz (31-39) lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves (16-54) at EnergySolutions Arena on Monday night in overtime 106-104.
Derrick Favors scores 19 points and grabs 12 rebounds in the loss to lead the way for the Jazz. After the game he met with the media. Here is the audio:
Utah Jazz Point Guard Trey Burke had a rough night as he shot 4 for 22 from the field, including 2 for 13 from behind the 3-point line. He finished with 16 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Burke also missed shots at the end of regulation and overtime which would have given the Jazz the win. He met with the media following the loss:
Joe Ingles scores a career-high in points with 18 points in place of the injured Gordon Hayward. Rudy Gobert also scores 18 points and grans 17 rebounds. Elijah Millsap was the fifth Jazz player to score in double figures as he scores 13 points.
Besides the Jazz turning over the ball 18 times, giving up 24 points, they also missed 12 free throws. The two times that Gordon Hayward has missed a game this season the Jazz have struggled. He is a main part of this team. It is evident how much the Jazz need him in the lineup.
Here is Utah Jazz Head Coach Quin Snyder with the media following the loss:
The Jazz will take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM at EnergySolutions Arena.
