Calhoun enters the program after Danny Sprinkle made the decision to leave Logan & head to Washington to become the next Head Coach of the Huskies.
The focus for the Aggies becomes trying to re-recruit an already decimated roster due to the transfer portal as well as trying to keep its new Head Coach in Logan for the long haul. Other candidates for the job included former SUU and current Bowling Green Head Coach Todd Simon and Current Toledo Head Coach Todd Kowalczyk.
Simon took to Twitter to dispel the rumors that he would be the next coach at Utah State.
I’m flattered by all the attention out there and take it as a compliment to the program my staff and I are building.
Alongside @vandermerwe63, @Pres_Rogers and the faithful Falcon supporters, we are committed to continuing to build a successful BGSU basketball program!
