Traroe ties season-high as Cougars’ defeat Lindenwood extending their winning streak to four games

Provo, UT – 

BYU (9-5) extended its winning streak to four games on Tuesday night at the Marriott Center defeating Lindenwood (5-7) 90-61.

Sophomore Fousseyni Traroe tied his season high with 21 points to go along with six rebounds. Traroe shot 8-of-13 from the field, while going a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.

The Sophomore said “We have to play 100% percent every time.” This was in reference to the his mindset and the Cougars last week to in state rival Utah Valley.I

Since that lost BYU has won four games in a row.

Rudi Williams was the main provider off the bench again contributing 13 points while adding three assists, and two rebounds.

Transfers Jaxson Robinson and Noah Waterman were in double figures as both players combined for 25 points on 7-of-11 (63%) from 3-point range. 

The Cougars had 24 assists on 35 made shots. The last four games BYU has had two quad one wins over Creighton and Utah. Although the wins over Western Oregon and Lindenwood are Quad 4 wins, BYU has moved back up to the top 100 in Ken Pom rankings at #86.

BYU returns to action Thursday as they host in-state rival Weber State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm MST. The game will be broadcast on BYUtv with Greg Wrebell and Mark Durant on BYU Sports Network on BYU Radio.
