Hagen is a 6-foot-1 180 pound wide receiver that preps at Corner Canyon High School (Draper, Utah), where as a senior he has helped Corner Canyon to a no. 14 national ranking.  In eight games Hagen has 52 receptions for 1055 yards (20.3 avg) and ten touchdowns (MaxPreps). Hagen is currently ranked no. 2 in the state of Utah in receiving yards (1055) and yards per game (131.9), no. 8 in total receptions (52), and no. 7 in receiving touchdowns (10).

As a junior (2020) Hagen had 55 receptions for 1184 yards (21.5 avg) and 18 touchdowns.  He was named to the MaxPreps All-American second team (MaxPreps), was first-team All-State (Deseret News), and was a National Junior Scholar (The Prototyp). As a sophomore (2019) he had 57 receptions for 939 yards and ten touchdowns, with one two-point conversion.  And as a freshman Hagen played in two varsity games, rushing five times for 25 yards.

In his prep career (so far), Hagen has 164 receptions for 3,178 receiving yards for 38 touchdowns.  His 3,178 receiving yards rank no. 8 all-time for the state of Utah.  His 38 touchdowns rank no. 9 all-time in the state.  Hagen will likely climb those rankings by the end of the season and could finish top 5 in both categories.

In track Hagen runs a 10.52 100 meter and 21.15 200 meter, winning the Utah State title in both events (Athletic.net), breaking the Utah 100m record, and being named the 6A track MVP. In 2020 he won track titles in the 100, 200, 4×100 (also breaking the Utah record), and 4×200.  He runs a 4.34 forty meter and has a 34-inch vertical leap.  He’s also a 4.0 student (no. 1 in his class), an eagle scout, and part of the ‘Especially for Athletes’ organization.

Hagen is rated 4-stars (0.8889) by 247Sports, who rank him as the no. 6 overall prospect in Utah for the class of 2022, and the no. 40 wide receiver nationally. He holds scholarship offers from Air Force, Arizona, Army, Brown, BYU, Colorado State, Dartmouth, Florida Atlantic, Harvard, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn, Princeton, Stanford, USC, Utah, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Yale, and Washington State.  Hagen plans to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints right out of high school, so he would join the Cougs for the 2024 season.
