BYU basketball cruised to an 80-68 victory over Illinois State Wednesday night in the Marriott Center. Sophomore guard TJ Haws had a great bounce back performance scoring 20 points while Yoeli Childs and Elijah Bryant chipped in with 17 each.
BYU has now won four consecutive victories and is 7-2 overall on the season. Next up for BYU is the Beehive Classic against Weber State Saturday night at the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Illinois State beat writer Jim Benson joined Ben Criddle and Cameron Jensen earlier on Wednesday to discuss the matchup and also the difficulties of scheduling in college basketball outside the Power 6 conferences in college basketball.
