Jimmy Rex Real Estate team has top properties, BYU stories of the week

Each Monday we will have the top three BYU stories with Jimmy Rex of Rex Real Estate and also his top three properties of the week. Check out their complete list each week of best properties at their website, RexRealEstateTeam.com.

1. South Jordan/Daybreak – $224,900- 2,300 square foot house and was built in 2009- approved for short sale, in bankruptcy. This sold for $242,000 in Sept. 29, 2009/BYU beats Cincinnati.

Jake Kuresa ranks this BYU win over Cincinnati as the third-best win of the year as does Jimmy Rex. Ben Criddle ranks this as the second best win on the season for BYU. Looking at the resume of opponents, Cincinnati is playing quite well compared to the rest of the opponents. Boise State just lost to Utah State in terrible fashion and Nebraska has four losses on the year.  So far, BYU opponents are 39-40 on the year and that includes an 0-6 Wagner.

2. RIVERTON- $449,000- 4700 SQ FT HOUSE- BUILT IN 1995- 1/3 ACRE- BANK OWNED- AMAZING DEAL FOR PRICE IN THIS AREA- COMPS ALL $50-75,000 HIGHER/Nick Kurtz has six receptions for 119 yards and a pair of touchdown.

Nick Kurtz finally steps up and has a huge game for the first time all year. Kurtz and Tanner Mangum are finally on the same page and this game against Cincinnati shows that the chemistry is paying off with a huge game. In fact, BYU wide outs are having a great year with Kelly Popinga pointing out how wide receivers get a lot of action in this offense.

3. Clinton – $134,000  and is 1,500 square foot house. This was built in 1999 and is bank approved for a short sale. This will make a great rental property at this price an will sell quickly/Former BYU head coach Gary Crowton left offensive coordinator at Southern Utah to be an offensive consultant for Oregon State.

Gary Crowton has the experience as an offensive coach from his years at Oregon, BYU, LSU and other places including the NFL, and that is why Gary Andersen wanted to bring in Crowton to assist with the offense for the struggling Beavers.

Crowton has had better success as a coordinator as a head coach and Bronco Mendenhall learned a lot from Crowton by doing things differently ever since taking over as head coach over a decade ago. The success is there and it points to the 10 straight bowl games that BYU has played in under Mendenhall. Just for pure offensive innovation, Crowton is one of the better coaches out there during his time on the sidelines.
