Will BYU football add a Graduate Transfer Quarterback for the 2018 season?

List of grad transfer options for BYU football if they pursue a grad transfer quarterback

With winter semester underway and the college football season now officially over, all attention points to the 2018 football season, and a big question for 2018 is the quarterback position.

Former BYU linebacker Derik Stevenson shared his take and he thinks it could be a graduate transfer.

Graduate transfer is an interesting option and in a way it feels like a must for the Cougars in 2018 as there is so much uncertainty at the position with Tanner Mangum’s achilles, Beau Hoge’s multiple injuries, and a wealth of freshmen. The Cougars could use a prove commodity who has experience at the FBS level.

Here’s a list of quarterbacks that have announced they will be transferring and are eligible to play for whichever school they choose in 2018.

  • Drew Barker | Kentucky
  • K.J. Carta-Samuels | Washington
  • Alex Malzone | Michigan
  • James Morgan | Bowling Green
  • Joe Borrow | Ohio State
  • Jacob Park | Iowa State
  • Darius Wade | Boston College
  • Glen Cuiellete | Tulane

Possible Graduate Transfer Option (if he decides to leave)

Brandon Dawkins | Arizona
