The nominees for this first month of the season are as follows:

Quarterback Tanner Mangum

Mangum took over for Taysom Hill and has two memorable hail mary’s against Nebraska and Boise State. In three-plus games he is averaging 179.8 yards per game with four touchdowns and three interceptions. His best game was against Boise State where he threw for 309 yards and had a pair of touchdowns and interceptions.

Linebacker Harvey Langi

The second year of being back from his mission and also new position is going quite well. Through the first month we has 27 tackles, four tackles for a loss and four sacks. He also was a key factor running the ball against UCLA by running for key first downs to keep them in the game against the Bruins.

Defensive back Kai Nacua

His numbers for the season are very good with four interceptions and one that was returned for a touchdown occurred in just three games, he sat out the Nebraska win. He also has three pass break ups and is now at the point where opposing quarterbacks are not throwing to his side of the field.
