BYU has added another NCAA Tournament team to its non-conference schedule for next year.
BYU’s 2016-17 non-conference basketball schedule is coming together nicely and one other game has been announced, and it is against a team that participated in the NCAA Tournament team out of the Pac-12.

Playing USC in their own backyard is technically a road game but this addition to the schedule will help their RPI and thus enhance their NCAA Tournament resume.
USC has made big strides since hiring Andy Enfield from Florida Gulf Cost by making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 and also after having two consecutive 20-loss seasons for the Trojans.
BYU so far has three teams that made the field of 64 on the schedule in USC, Weber State and Colorado. They also have Illinois who they will play at the United Center in Chicago and against Utah Valley which should be much improved in the second year of the Mark Pope era.
