As the column details, there are $$ benefits to the Big East and/or Big 12 doing this. Used to be that big-brand programs FREQUENTLY played noncon games deep into January + February. If any team can revive that model, it’s Gonzaga. Would be great for CBB. https://t.co/2DunY0XD8Q

“I’m sure there’s other guys out there that could be considered as candidates, and they’ll do their due diligence in the hiring process, but I can’t think of a better man for the job. I just feel like he’s been groomed for this job.” –@adamlaw217 on Trent Pratt. pic.twitter.com/kimbZK0v5C

I'll get an article soon up on some candidates I'm hearing and I think could replace Burgess. Some out of the box names Pope will reach out too.
The first one imo should be Mark Madsen. Throw him a bunch of money and offer him title of associate head coach.

I am happy for @chrisburgess34. He’s a sharp smart man, always treated me with respect & has given me a lot of advice on a few life choices we’ve both made.
If my boys ever get good enough to play college he hoops, they’d be so lucky to play for someone like him.
Good luck CB.

What a memorable experience in Daytona Beach at Nationals with BYU Cheer (4th) & Cougarettes (TWO -1sts). A favorite moment of mine was the Coaches, Athletes & Families sharing in the joy of success knowing that what they had achieved together would last forever. 💙 pic.twitter.com/oAFvWEvsZV

There’s a million reasons, but this might be #1. You would have to try extremely hard to find a current or former player of his who doesn’t have good things to say about him as a person and a coach.

BYU football players Uriah Leiataua and James Empey have been named to the 2022 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA in their careers.

What a Great Day! Our son Carson was called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to serve in the Botswana Namibia Africa Mission. He will leave July 28th for 2 years. He will serve, teach, & share the love our Savior has for them.
