3-star QB/WR Parker Kingston makes verbal commit to BYU (Class of 2022)

Parker Kingston is now a BYU football commit for the Class of 2022, making a verbal commitment on September 6, 2021.

Kingston is a 5-11 175-pound quarterback that preps at Roy High School (Ogden, Utah).  He was offered a scholarship as a wide receiver, the position he played as a sophomore. Kingston trains with former BYU receiver Ross Apo, who has trained several other BYU receivers.

Through three games as a senior he has 261 yards passing with four touchdowns and no interceptions.  He has rushed 27 times for 318 yards and five scores, and has a 98 yard kickoff return.  He also has four tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended.  Kingston is lightning, having recorded a 4.49 forty and a 10.89 in the 100m (HUDL).

As a junior he went 110-for-183 passing for 1561 yards and 15 touchdowns.  He rushed 105 times for 937 yards and 14 touchdowns.  And he had ZERO turnovers (no interceptions or fumbles).  He was a 2020 6A All-State honorable mention, and an All-Area and Region 1 first-team selection.

As a sophomore he had 33 receptions for 539 yards and five touchdowns.  He was a 2019 6A All-Region second-team selection at wide receiver.

Kingston is rated 3-stars by 247Sports who rate him as the no. 45 overall recruit in the class of 2022 from the state of Utah. He was originally committed to Air Force and has seen interest from Fresno State.
