Former NBA player Keith Appling pled guilty to second-degree murder on Monday. In 2021, Appling was charged with the death of a 66-year-old relative named Clyde Edmonds.

According to prosecutors, Appling and Edmonds argued over a handgun before Appling shot Edmonds. Appling’s most recent time in the NBA was playing for the D-League All-Defensive Team in 2015. Appling will be sentenced on March 3.
