VIDEO: BYU shocks Nebraska with hail mary

BYU tops Nebraska with a 42-yard touchdown pass as time expires.

BYU had a lot of reasons to not win this game against Nebraska. Starting quarterback Taysom Hill left the game late in the fourth quarter — he was not returning — and freshman Tanner Mangum took over.

The Cougars were given life after a Cornhuskers miscue and life and Mangum looked every bit of what the recruitniks thought when he came out of high school.

BYU had one last chance in this game, the ball was on the 42-yard line and just one tick remained on the clock and that is when Mangum connected with Mitch Mathews just inside the end zone and caught the game-winner.

Somehow there was no Nebraska player in front of Mathews and the ball fell right into his chest and he was tackled in the end zone.
